Parent Groups - PTO/PKC
Our parents are active and involved in our schools in a variety of ways. Two of the most prominent opportunities for parent involvement are the Parent Teacher Organizations (PTOs) and Parent Key Communicators (PKCs).
Each of our PTOs maintains a website where parents can get more information. Links are included on this page. Information about PKC is also posted here.

Parent Key Communicators
The Parent Key Communicator (PKC) network is comprised of three parent volunteers from each school who meet throughout the school year with the superintendent and the director of communications and outreach. The group is designed to allow parents an opportunity to talk directly with the district and with parents from each school around topics of concern or interest. Parents are then charged with sharing information and gathering feedback from their school communities.
Parents who are interested in serving as a PKC should contact their building principal. PKCs are asked to serve a two-year term. In addition to district-level meetings, PKCs in many schools also meet regularly with their building principal to address building-level issues and concerns.
